India aiming to create$5 billion worth of defence equipment export by DRDO between 2025
DRDO'S 5 billion business deal
At the time of inauguration of Defence Expo at Lucknow on 5 February 2020 ,the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the defence equipment export from India was about Rs 2,000 crores. In the last two years, it has been increased up to Rs 17,000 crores. In the next five years, our target is to increase exports upto 5 billion USA Dollars which is about Rs 35,000 crore.
According to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute in 2020,India has ranked 23rd for arms export to various countries in the years of 2015-2019. According to the Ministry of Defence in year 2018-19 indian defence export has been recorded worth
Rs 10,745 crores, the growth of more than 100 per cent. When defence export in the year 2017-18 was Rs 4,682 crore and Rs 1,520 crores of the Defence export in the year of 2016-17.

DRDO has made many advanced Weapons for Indian Army, now we will be seeing to increase in the export of various Morden weapons to our friends countries, report by DRDO chief G Satheesh Reddy
Indian government has clearely permited to export 156 defence equipment including the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, artillery guns, battle tanks, missiles and anti-tank missile etc....
DRDO released the report in Which weapons has permitted for export there are 19 aeronautical systems, 41 armament and combat systems, 4 missile systems, 27 electronic and communication system, 10 life protection items, 4 microelectronic devices, 28 naval systems, 16 Nuclear Biological Chemical equipment.
Recently Tejas has been the ready for export and the Indian missile, missile systems are also ready for export now. Earlier the Akash missile that was given clearance for exports but now other missiles have also been added.
The missile air- to-air Astra, anti-tank guided missile Nag and Brahmos weapon systems are also ready for exports.
Akash is a surface-to-air missile system which is provided short-range air defence system ,the range is about 3 to 25 km. The Astra air-to-air missile that has been integrated with Indian Air Forces in Su 30 MKI fighter jet. In future Other fighter jets will also be integrated with the Astra missile. Which is highly
advanced technology missile.
The Brahmos is a supersonic missile for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. This universal missile can be launched from ships, mobile launchers, submarines and aircraft.
